Re: Open and Airy Living Room...

Beautiful!  Not practical for me (dogs), but lovely nonetheless.

Re: Open and Airy Living Room...

Attractive architecture and stunning views and indoor/outdoor ambience.

The way it is decorated is a bit too much for me-- too much print going on, the flouncy skirts on the chair and sofa, a bit too much decor-- things seem to be crammed together.

A good edit of about a third, at least, of the objects, and it would be more serene and comfortable as a living room I'd never want to leave.

I love the room but would have to remove some of the furniture if it were my home.

Yes it lives up to open and airy, but I see absolutely nothing I like.

Re: Open and Airy Living Room...

This room is beautiful so spacious and warm.  With the exception of the coffee table, artwork over the mantle and some of the faux plants, I find everything to be appealing. The window and shelves on either side are lovely!!!!!  It is a comfortable and very pretty living room.

I agree with "open and airy".  It is also fresh and pretty.  It does, however, give me a cluttered feeling.

I like the room, but it is a bit too much white and a bit too cluttered for me. I’d need to add some color & remove some things. I really dislike the flouncy skirt bottoms on the sofa & chair.

very pretty room, but I would have to remove some things, as it seems a bit cluttered to me and my taste......

Re: Open and Airy Living Room...

I wouldn't necessarily call it airy myself as I think it's far too cluttered for that amount of space.  A lot of that would have to go as well as the skirted sofa and chair.

Always interesting to see all the different perspectives on a room... I find this one very pretty. I love the room itself. How could I not with all that glorious light and the beautiful arched openings... I also like all the blue and white pieces, though I'd ignore the rule of three atop the bookshelves and remove one piece from each... I love what looks to be the Sheraton style sofa at the end of the room and while I like what appears to be the inlaid coffee table that fronts it, I'd move it in favor of something more streamlined... I also very much like all of the throw pillows chosen for this room... Though I don't tend to like 'modern' I do like Parson's furniture, so love the sleek, white Parson's coffee table... Like others, I'm not loving the white ruffled piece of furniture and would have opted to skip the ruffles... There's a lot in this room and, to me, all the elements are pretty... I don't view it as 'cluttered' but there is a lot of furniture in the room and I'd remove some of it (probably a piece of wicker and one of the white seating pieces, at least) and I'd also remove some of the plant material... I'd also seek a different piece of art and do something different with the mantel, as all the white boxes just seem to fade into the wall, pretty as they are... I might also consider a different floor covering... Overall though, I think it's a lovely room...
