It's nice looking, but there's too much white for me. I like the living area with pops of blue better than the all white dining and kitchen areas. I need more color in those spaces. I don't like the open kitchen shelving or the style of the counter chairs.

I do not care for the open concept of the kitchen and great room.  I would have my dining room separate and not on top of the living room.  Also while I love the space of the area, I do not care for the furnishings.  Not my taste.

I love this except for the ceiling.

Where I am we also have an open concept that consists of the kitchen and the family room. It is huge. 60 inch island plus an eating kitchen with a table 4 chairs and a bench. In the family room the furniture Sofa, and love seat are red but the chair has a striped color. Large book case  holds a 60 inch TV.

The color is a bluish gray which also covers the ceilings.

Open concepts just seems to give you more space.

Baby blue is not my choice for a living room.  The decor does not fit in with the architecture.

Personally, I'm not a fan of open concept UNLESS one has a separate living room, den, library... some other room in which to sit other than the great room attached to the kitchen.

To me, it makes a lot of sense to have a good size sitting space off the kitchen both for day to day living and for those who entertain often but I also like individual rooms.

The bones of this space are, to me, quite appealing but I don't much care for the too contemporary, too white decor and I'm not a big fan of blue as the main color used in decorating, even though I find most shades of blue to be very lovely.

I find this room's large paned windows and doors with transoms to be to my liking.
