I've already been through my chest of drawers...grabbed out the lock and lock and got busy putting things together neatly. One day it's ok, and then boom, I expect my husband to head for the hills any minute now. LOL

Isn't it funny how all of a sudden, the bug takes over and you just have to do something about the mess/clutter/stuff!?

I live for years with a certain area of my home arranged in the same way and then one day, I have some light bulb go off, and I have to totally change the entire space.

The thought process is that it will be more user friendly, more organized etc. But really it often is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic for me! LOL

I do the same thing. And when I finally start re-arranging, I wonder what took me so long. My late hubby was the opposite, he was always re-arranging and putting everything in its place, which got annoying. I used to keep a few small tools in a drawer in a kitchen. Tools belong in the basement, he says. Not when I have to climb stairs multiple times a day just for a screwdriver!

@Mominohio, actually it's about pitching all those little boxes that jewelry comes in. Why I was packing those away, no idea. They probably started out to hold onto in case I had to return something, and it became a collection. Gone to recycle now.

@software, I too have a few tools in a box in my phone drawer. (In a lock and lock).

Yes, that up and down stairs and going through my husbands toolbox, too much.

I hear you about boxes.

Several years ago, I took all my Christmas (well everything but the very fragile) things out of boxes and put them loose in tubs or other storage in my house. I increased the amount of space in my Christmas closet tremendously.

Then I discovered decorative boxes. Oh boy, I bought them and use them for storage and gifting, but it became an obsession of it's own.

In cleaning out today and last night, I came across a small QVC jewelry box that I had kept. It is such a high quality box, just beautiful, but I threw it in recycling.

Baby steps....baby steps! LOL

Years ago I asked my DH to create a tool box just for me, and he did. It sits in my hall closet. Have I ever used it to find a tool, NO! I just go to the garage to find what I need. lol
