OFF SET PATIO UMBRELLA HELP....

I wasn't sure to ask my question in the home or the garden forum:

I have been looking at these off set patio umbrellas for a few years now. I don't need a huge one, just big enough to shade the patio door. I don't really want solar lights built into it eirher. Any suggestions?  I would like it to last three years and be budget friendly. I saw a new one on QVC yesterday but with the stand, umbrella and s&h it was almost $400. That seemed high.

Do these off set umbrellas come in the breeze thru style or does it vary? Do they fit in a standard cement base or do you have to use that bladder style base? Do they really not blow over in regular rain storms? The reviews seem to be poor on most of them that I've seen but I really like the concept.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help and time.

Re: OFF SET PATIO UMBRELLA HELP....

I bought one from Wayfair, just plain, no lights.  It's a market style.  It does fit in a regular base, but I need to fasten it to my deck rail because it will blow over.  It was $59.99 I think.

I bought one from Wayfair.  It's the "market style" with the vents.  Works pretty well and fits in a regular base, but I need to fasten it to the deck rail because it will blow over.  I think it was about $59.99.

Re: OFF SET PATIO UMBRELLA HELP....

I have one from Home Depot. It was $300.00 and does have solar lights. It has a plastic base and we put 250 pounds of sand in it. We leave the sand in the bags and just arrange them around inside the base. It did come with sandbags but we have to take it down every winter to close our pool so we store it and the bags split apart after the first year.

You don't have to use the solar lights they are on a switch. I like mine and it is very windy here and I have never had an issue with it moving.
