I'm allergic to most scented products, but I'd love to find something to greet me after our house has been closed up for several days.  I make sure to empty the trash and get all dishes done, but it just doesn't smell "fresh."

You mean 'who else likes a fresh smelling home'!

I have all the windows open and so there's really no scent going on other than fresh air.

I don't use air fresheners, but do have scented candles (tons of PartyLite) that probably smell better unlit.  I can smell them where I store them in a linen closet.

Out back smells like wood getting cut on the saw (husband's project for the week...).

I may be weird but anything that scents a room bothers me to no end and give me headaches. Not air fresheners, not candles. I like open windows and fresh air.

In the winter I will sometimes open a window and let a little cold air in.

I too, love a nice smelling home! I love Candles, and Diffusers, love my Pura Diffuser. However, when it is nice outside, there is nothing better than open windows and fresh air.

I live in the Midwest, so we have long winters where we are closed in, so my candles and diffusers get a lot of use. When it is Summertime and we can finally open the windows, I tend to not burn as often...

Also when it is super hot and we have our air on for days, I also will burn candles! I have always been complimented on how nice my house smells!

When this house was new 15 years ago I loved the fresh cut wood smell..  (This is a log cabin)  I'm going to dig around in the basement for log ends or raw building timber and cut some new surfaces.  Or get DH to, let's be honest here.

@depglass I'm also allergic to nearly everything scented. So is DH. I can't even walk down the detergent aisle in the grocery store without getting all teary. In the fall and winter, I often put some cinnamon sticks and whole cloves to simmer on the stove. It's funny, DD recently reflected about how some people's houses have a distinctive smell, but ours doesn't smell like anything. I guess that's ok, but it would be nice to have the option of a scent.

I like candles in winter but it is just to hot in summer to burn candles.
