This is absolutely beautiful.  I'd tweak a few things (no open shelving nor hanging of my pots) but I could still live with those features.

I know a lot of people probably feel it's too dark but I find it very rich and welcoming.

It is stunning, and I love the windows, but it is too dark for me.

While I am a lover of wood, this is just too dark.  I find it depressing.  Perhaps if they would have shown it on a sunny day it would not have looked so forbidding.  Also, it needs an island.

Why does it need an island? It is a huge kitchen with lots of space to prepare meals. An island would obstruct walking space.

Change the cabinets to a lighter wood and I would love it. It's just too monotone and dark as is for me.
