I find this to be a different color combo that I have not seen before.  I think it's calming and pretty.

I do like the color combination although it isn't my usual taste.  I love the chairs and the room has a warm feeling to it.

A palette of muted colors with a hit of almost black is said to be a major upcoming trend. It's lovely and rather sophisticated. I always find these muted neutrals tricky to get just right, because they each change with the lighting. Any discordant undertones will become very obvious at certain times of day or seasons.

I get the glass and mirrored tables. But I'd rather see wood or paint in this room. More in keeping with the fireplace surround and the modern architecture. The whole "glam" thing doesn't have much life to it, and this big room doesn't need to reflect light. 

Pretty and comfortable as this room is, though, it looks rather generic to me. Maybe the poster who suggested an interesting piece of art has the answer. Or a different area rug. Me, I'd probably run right out and replace those white flowers with a big bunch of pink or yellow roses, not screamingly vivid but not too pale. 

A bottle of champagne and two flutes would would be a nice touch. But what room could you not say that about, hmm?

Boring.  Definitely needs something of interest to the eye and mind.  Its for people who feel the need to b e "safe" and not take chances.
