New Mattress Help!!!

OK so searching mattrresses that are the highest rated is almost impossible! My husband is having issues with our 4 year old Simmons Beauty Rest Plush Pillowtop...complains about it now for 6 months. I have a little hip pain from it, why do mattresses start to go so early? It looks brand new! lol What mattress do you have and do you LOVE IT? how long have you had it? Has anyone gone from an innerspring to a foam type? He thinks we would hate a foam type mattress....as we have tried a topper and could barely move, lol. Any suggestions that I can research would be greatly appreciated. Is it true you can return a mattress to costco too if you don't like it for up to a year???? I can't find that info on Costco.com.... Thanks Ladies!
