I'm thrilled with the flooring and now the quest begins to find the right area rugs, casual chairs, tv media unit and coastal coffee table.

The funniest thing was I didn't like my furniture in the DR and had already decided to sell it and get new updated pieces.  

Thank goodness the person never showed up because now I'm liking it ... oh the way things change in my mind minute to minute! 

I did find a buffet but putting it "on hold" right now because the one I found is unavailable until mid-June.  I didn't want to pay for something and it not come - then get a "store credit" they do not refund at this particular store.  

I am waiting for the blind place to let me know when they can do the rod and drapes on the sliding doors.

The floors look great.  It sounds like you're finally to the fun part, getting to choose rugs and furniture pieces. Thanks for sharing your progress with us. Keep us posted.

Everything looks great!  I did exactly the same thing with certain furniture pieces, planned on changing some out, there was a delay and now I'm aok with them. Was going to modernize more however the pieces fit right in.

The rooms will "eventually" be separated by the right furniture pieces.

Right now I haven't found exactly what I want.  I've already made those mistakes 😉

Your floor looks beautiful!  And I love your DR furniture!  I am changing over to coastal furniture soon. May I ask the brand and color of that flooring?  Good luck with the rest of your decorating. I'm looking forward to seeing your choices. I'm sure once it's all done, we'll be seeing pictures of a beautifully decorated, cozy home.

For area rugs, don't overlook Home Depot. I had searched for the longest time, online, rug, and furniture stores, you name it, for a large area rug for our bedroom. One day I went to Home Depot for some things and wandered over to the rug area - There it was, the exact rug that I was looking for.
