Need suggestions for washer and dryer

I am in need of a new washer and dryer and wondered if someone could suggest some good ones. I have only ever had a top loading machine and wondered if I should stick with that or if anyone really likes the front loaders. We have always had Sears Kenmore machines and wondered if we should stick with those? Thanks!!
