Need a New Washer

My washer is over 20 yrs old & has finally broken down. Need a recommendation for a cheapie because I may move in a year or so & don't want to leave one I paid a lot of money for. I also live alone & don't ust it much. Also, mine is so old that the washer has a lint filter that I empty. I understand the new ones don't have filters. What happens if you wash a throw rug or blanket? Doesn't all that lint clog up the drainage hose?
