To put a gray or blue wall would make the room pretty cold looking to my eye.  Blues and grays are both cool colors.  If you have the room with south facing windows it would matter so much, but it the windows face north and east it will be pretty dark in the winter months, taking the paint toward a cooler look. 

 

Just an observation.  Sometimes if the windows face west or south the setting sun or winter light can make grays and blues have a greenish cast to the too.   Look at paint swatches in different lighting.

I'd say a very pale blue or creamy ivory. Not GREY!!!! I recently had one bedroom/bath painted pale blue - very soft - for my guest bedroom/bath - looks clean.These are also colors you'll never tire of. You could add a few pics and/or decals in colors you'll feel comfortable with.
