I have all but given up on the Slatkin wall units. Another just got placed into my basement because the scent is so cheap and fake smelling.

I bought the units last year and loved many of the fall/winter scents. But every spring/summer scent has been a total bust. Either there is little to no scent or they are overpowering, fake, cheap and chemical smelling to me. The fresh bamboo was the first to go into my basement to be used up. We couldn't stand it.

Now I pulled out a white citrus and down into the basement that went after being in my bathroom for about a week. It smells like a cleaning product and not in a good way. Blech.

Yesterday I happened to be in Wal-Mart and they had reed diffusers for $4.00 under the Mainstay label. I have had very good luck with this brand of candles so I bought 3 of the diffusers. I put one black cherry in my bathroom and there is no smell whatsoever. This has been my problem with reed diffusers, lack of smell.

I have also purchased a number of the ones sold at Kohls. I cannot remember the brand but I think you can only buy them at Kohls and you can get them on sale for $6.00. No smell to them at all. I don't know if I should take my chances and get a bunch of fall Slatkin refills or if those are now fake and cheap smelling too.

Anyone use the diffusers? Can you recommend some that give off some smell? LOL
