Re: NEW ORLEANS BREAKFAST ROOM

I wonder who will sit on the side of that table: there is a stool, but your knees up against will still not let the sitter reach the table top !

Chairs look nice but most likely will be very uncomfortable with that back.

Interesting to look at but that is it.

Re: NEW ORLEANS BREAKFAST ROOM

This looks like a place for a small, friendly breakfast.  However, that being said, I like the window, clock, chairs, rug and corner cupboard.  Take out the table, stools, sofa thing in front of the window and put in a small table and four chairs.  That's all that is needed.  Some color would help, too.  Like maybe in the rug and chair cushions.

Right now there is too much crammed in there and too monochromatic.

I like nothing about that room. Nothing cheerful in it, I would feel so sad sitting in it.

Re: NEW ORLEANS BREAKFAST ROOM

This just has such an odd mixture of furnishings and none of it is appealing to me.  I do love the window in this small breakfast nook though.

I love this room. This is different and refreshing.

I really like the HGTV New Orleans show (maybe Selling New Orleans ..not sure). The homes on the show really appeal to me.

Re: NEW ORLEANS BREAKFAST ROOM

Fun to visit this room.  If some square feet could be added to this room, I'd love it. It's just a little too tight for me.

The corner cabinet and clock are a dream. I even like the chandelier, when I often don't. And the soft neutral colors are perfect for this room. It's an Old World, fantasy inducing visit.

However, the table is impractical for more than two to three people.  If you needed to raise the drop leaf panel, you'd also need more chairs. Maneuvering would be tight. Seems more to observe, than utilize.

A longer, narrow table, vertical to the window may have added more leg room.

Re: NEW ORLEANS BREAKFAST ROOM

I’m not liking the style of any of the furnishings & accessories. It looks a bit crowded. I prefer more color. The window is nice.

Re: NEW ORLEANS BREAKFAST ROOM

The cabinet, the clock, and the arched glass doors are to die for.  But the weird dark ottomans and the square table strike me as all wrong.  (An oval dropleaf table would be a better fit in terms of style and size.)  The loveseat (same color as the interior of the cabinet!) would be better placed where the two chairs are currently.  Not loving the chandelier, which looks too much like antlers. Can't see enough of the painting to comment on it.  I hope the walls are stucco, because I think they need texture.

Okay...now that I've redecorated a bit, I'll take it!
