Hi.
You said it came in a box, do you mean it was rolled up in a box like so many foam mattresses are? I was going to purchase a Saatva Classic in the luxury firm or the firm.@Alsace Gal I think it was folded not rolled. Maybe in half then half again. I usually let my husband handle these things and I stay in the living room and out of the way.
Thank you.
I've purchased seven Saatva mattresses and none of them came in a box. All were encased in thick plastic.
There is no way they could be folded as they are very thick and filled well. Very sturdy mattresses.
Same for the box springs, no boxes.
@Lucky Charm Yes,you are absolutely correct. What I saw coming in the door in a big box was a special mattress pad they sent as my husband told them the bed was not comfortable. The pad they sent was some special one and not cheap. They gave it to him for nothing.

The seven you've ordered, were they all you expected, quality wise?
I believe from reading your post, I'm going to order their Classic in queen, luxury firm of firm.
Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

@Alsace Gal That wasn't me who ordered seven. It was another poster. I have one and yes it was worth it.

I have always preferred Stearns and Foster. I think they are the best on the market; haven't priced one lately but am sure they are probably one of the more expensive brands; they were when we bought ours several years ago.

I bought a twin Stearns & Foster pillow top in October of last year. It was a little over $2200. Although it is much higher that my previous mattress ( a Sealy), I have not regretted my decision. What a difference in comfort.
