My clever husband

He is building us drawers for the 2 kitchen cabinets that we store our pots and pans in - so we can pull them out to get our stuff easily. We saw them at Lowes and they were $200 / cabinet - he said he was sure he could build them himself - has only $40 invested in them including paint, wood and hardware. They look great and I am proud of him for figuring this out and making them as he is not a woodworker usually.

Congratulations to your husband for figuring out to put the drawers together and for completing the project. I have drawers in all of my lower cabinets and I love them. I hope you enjoy yours.

I wish my husband was handy with power tools but sadly he is not....

I am surprised that your kitchen didn't already have the pull out drawers, since I think you mentioned that your home is relatively new, my house is 30 years old and that was one feature that I liked really liked about the kitchen, you will love the pull out drawers.

I like it when someone is happy and he and/or she realizes they are happy.

Often people talk about the good old days. There is no such thing. The sad part is they were happy and they didn't realize at the time they were happy.

You are lucky to know that you are happy now.

He actually figured out his measurements and went to Lowes to get the wood. he had them cut it for him as he does not have a chop saw to do that. I think they do it for a small fee. he put them together and today he sanded and stained them. i think he will install them tomorrow.I am really looking forward to having them.
