The rug and chandelier are lovely. I do not care for the white furniture or the middle table.  I always love drapes/curtains but not the pattern of the ones shown in this photo.  In general this room needs a few changes to make it work.

I don't think the white sofas look like French country...only the red/ white checked chair and a few of the accessories do. The tufted coffee table is a beautiful color but too big and bright for the area. The colors on the sofa pillows seem drab, not colors normally seen in French country decor.
