Except for the overly pretentious window treatments, it's a very pleasant, comfortable,  attractive room.

This is a lovely, inviting room.  I would, however, change a couple things:

• I would change the artwork to something less modern
• I like sheers under the drapes ~ the Roman shade is very nice but I think the sheers would lighten up the room.
• I prefer a heavier legged coffee table ~ something a bit more substantial : )

I would not have that color wall behind the fireplace and would keep the drapes but change the pattern to something nicer.  I would get rid of the coffee table and replace the wall painting with a landscape.  I do like the room but I would change some things.

The only thing I really like is the window treatment. I also like the art, too, but maybe not in that room.

I had a home with coved ceilings and the same kind of trim as this room.  I'd have it again in a heartbeat.  The older homes like that were built so well.
