Re: Mismatched Globes in a Light Fixture

As in fashion, it doesn’t have to match, just has to “go together.” I like it.

It's a nice story but doesn't change the fact that I don't care for the chandelier.

Re: Mismatched Globes in a Light Fixture

I'm trying to understand how and why these represent family members. 🤔  If they like it, that's fine.

Personally, it's nothing I would do. I prefer matching lights in fixtures that require multiple bulbs.

I loved it before the back story, but reading why they did it made me love it even more because of the purpose behind it.

I like it!!! And the story surrounding the choices make it more special.........

At first glance I like it. I'm sure after time it would bug me

Re: Mismatched Globes in a Light Fixture

I like the story behind it but I am not sure of the piece the lights are hanging from.  I would like to see what other options were available.  I guess the bottom line is the owners found a solution for their treasures.

Re: Mismatched Globes in a Light Fixture

I don't like it at all and the back story doesn't make any sense to me.  How does a light globe represent a member of the family?  And what happens if more family members come along?

Either way, there's nothing I like about it.  Mismatched and the ornate crystal globes don't seem to go with the almost industrial look of the brass fitting.

Sorry but, that is one of the ugliest fixtures that I have ever seen 😳

Before you decide... here is the back story.

Each globe is a vintage item that represents each person of the family in the house.

Does the story influence your like/dislike of the mismatched fixture?

I like it even without a story. It's unique and conversational.
