Lucid Comfort Collection 3" Lavender Foam Topper.  I have not yet purchased a mattress topper but need to..back aches most mornings.  The task of searching and reading reviews is mind boggling. Does anyone have this topper and if so, like, don't like...thanks.

Re: Mattress topper question

It will raise your mattress. Make sure you can comfortably get in and out of bed.

Re: Mattress topper question

It's $75 on Amazon with free shipping.  Many reviews there.  I have the Bedstory lavender 3-inch foam topper in a queen size, and I love it.  (Available on Amazon)  The smell has unfortunately dissipated somewhat, but I knew that would happen from reading the reviews.

@Mom2Dogs  What you want to know does the topper get hot?  Most memory foam and foam are hot so make sure you find out unless you like hot.

@Katcat1 From what I have read, gel foam is supposed to be cooler.

I would not like the constant smell of lavender.

Re: Mattress topper question

I have a Lucid 3" topper that I put on 3 months ago, not lavender.  I'm about to take it back off.  It does help some with pressure points, however, it has more cons.

I'm not a "hot" person but this does create heat.  My bed was already high and now it's 3" higher.  It's hard for me to get into; I feel I'm sleeping half way up to the ceiling which makes me closer to the ceiling fan.  And the big one for me is that after a couple of hours I sink into the gel and I can't turn over easily.  I feel like I'm in a hole.  It's tiring trying to get out of the hole and into a cool spot.  And I also think that it's not enough support for my back because it's too soft.

If you really want one, I would go with a 2" rather than 3".  Macy's has them on sale at a good price.

Re: Mattress topper question

I have the Lucid 3" gel topper too, not the lavender one, and it is very comfy and for me, not hot at all. Got it from AMZ last year during their prime day so  only spent about $45 for the full size. the one thing I do is I put a fitted full size sheet on top of it, as a liner kind of, then put my other sheets over top. Helps with my sore bones alot!!!

Re: Mattress topper question

@Scooby Doo .....We currently have a 3" topper on a bed....it is not a gel type of topper, probably more memory foam,  When I sleep on that bed I don't have issues with turning over,  heat etc.  I wonder if the 'gel' style makes a difference in softness and 'sinking' into the matteress?

I thought a 3" would be more plush, maybe not.....I really dislike buying this type of product.
