Making small changes in a room

Ever since I moved in my home I had a hard time deciding where to put my sofa. I had it angled this way, then that way. I have a fairly large room, so I broke it up with the sofa, and that is where I kept it for many years. A few weeks ago, I decided to move the sofa long way as you walk into my home and step in the room you see the back of my sofa.

I saw that it wasn't as awkard looking as I thought it would look like. There is still about 5 feet to walk behind the sofa. And plenty of room to have a table at the end of the sofa and a chair and two chairs on the opposite wall of the sofa on each side of the fireplace. I love it. I finally like my coffee table now. I thought it was too big for the room. But now that it is on the long end of the room it fits better and looks like it was made for the space. It has taken me almost 10 years to figure that out.

Now there have been a couple things bugging me in the master bedroom, but for that I will have to wait for some helpers.

This is the new sofa arrangement.The colors aren't good. I take pictures with my Iphone.
