Does anyone remember Magic Finish Furniture stain from years ago. Came in light, medium, and dark. It was a miracle and I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know of anything similar?

I loved that stuff and it worked like magic. I haven't seen it in years either. It was Old English brand and it didn't take much to do the job so a bottle of it would last for years. This post made me look it up online and you can still get it!! Thanks for reminding me of this!!! I just typed in Old English scratch cover furniture polish.

Are you speaking of the Old English stuff you put on scratches to hide them?  It's still sold in grocery stores.  I'm not sure that's the product to which the OP is referring.

@Bloomer et al, I don't know this brand but wanted to mention that Min Wax puts out a cloth that is stain soaked that is amazing.  I have an old mahogany desk with beautiful lines and woodwork.  The top, however, was a mess with white rings from beverages, scratches, etc.  I thought I would sand it down and apply the cloth.

One day I thought I would just try it without sanding.  OMG I couldn't believe the result.  The wood just soaked it up and it looked like new.  I did a double coat, let it dry, had a piece of glass cut to cover the top and it still looks great.

The product comes in dark and blond wood stains.  LM

I love this stuff. I just used it on a pretty beat up dresser we were going to sell. When I was finished it looked amazing. Even my family couldn't believe it was the same dresser.
