MORE LEAD-FREE MUGS, AND BAMBOO STEP STOOLS

I previously reported on my white Serami "Bistro" lead and cadmium-free mugs from Amazon, which at the time, they had in the colors white, black and cobalt blue, I think.

Just noticed some nifty other colors they come in, in the exact same satisfying modern tulip shape and size (14 oz.)

"Coral"  (but looks rose to me),   "Ocean Blue",   "Evening Blue",  "Sunset Orange",  "Island Blue".

I got the "Island Blue",  partly because it is blue on the inside as well-- the others, with the exception of the "Coral",  are white on the inside and colored on the outside.

"Island Blue"--

Here's the kicky "Sunset Orange", looks retro :

If interested in some lead-free ceramic mugs, you can google Serami 14 oz. Bistro Mugs and they will pop up.

And, QVC now has the Sorbus Bamboo Stool  H401166 back in stock!   It's $28.99.  I ordered that during a free shipping day, and could not be more pleased.    I enjoy being 5'3",  but not when I have to reach the back of my tall kitchen cupboards!  The extra 7 inches that this step stool gives me is just right.

It is extremely stable and sturdy, and the bamboo has a hard, glossy, lustrous finish.  The slats give it a handsome "spa" look, and I'm currently using it as a plant stand as well as a step stool.   Seriously considering getting another one at some point...

Great buys, Oznell!  I love the mugs and your choice of color, the blue is so pretty, I also like the entire mug being one color.  I think the Bamboo stool is very nice. While it is practical I can imagine decorating it with books or other decor!  That is where my mind goes!!!!!  Thanks for sharing your buys and enjoy them!!!!

Re: MORE LEAD-FREE MUGS, AND BAMBOO STEP STOOLS

@Oznell Great minds--I was going to post about this and I hope you don't mind my noting it in your thread--step stools are very hard to find! I it  this weekend and it is very nice also and sort of different from yours. Not as cute, and not decorative, doesn't have a lot of personality but is sturdy.

It says made in the USA from USA oak. Made by Consdan (they have other nice things too) 16.5 x 11.75 x 6.5 inches, great for kids and seniors especially and no assembly.

It isn't cheap; $45.75 but is sturdy and well made.  I had looked and looked (we have two really tall beds and I wanted a step stool for the guest room) for something nice as I had a needlepoint one for our bed.

This one actually went by our bed and the needlepoint one went in the guest room.  I feel more secure on this one, which is bigger and I am older! Anyway, if someone is looking for something like this, it might help them out.

Thanks for sharing space. I was just so happy to get one that is the right height and size for me.

Re: MORE LEAD-FREE MUGS, AND BAMBOO STEP STOOLS

Wow, @TheMemphisVette ,  thanks so much for the tip!  I should have thought of checking there for competitive pricing!

Oh, exactly right about the potential for decorating with good looking bamboo stools, @spiderw !   I'm always looking for a few, non-predictable touches to salt in to my mostly-traditional decor,  to give a less staid, more "jaunty" touch.  I have some lipstick plant cuttings I'm trying to root (in a Waterford vase, for looks of course!).  So I took the bamboo stool out of the kitchen and put it under my tall living room window, with the cuttings sitting on it.  Brings them to just the right height for sun.  Then I had to add a vintage glass jug to the vignette, of course....

This is why I may need to get another one, for strictly utilitarian purposes...

Oh, @Sooner ,  how great that you found your Consdan stool, and it was a win.  By all means, I'm very happy you put it in the thread, as it may be exactly what someone needs.  It's all about the free flow of information, and you just added helpfully to that!

@Oznell Some taller folk may not relate to the step stool issue the way some of us do! I was so excited to finally find something that really "fit the bill" (and the Sooner!). Woman WinkWoman Very Happy

@Oznell  Unless I missed it already, can you tell me what the 'assembly' amounts to? I generally avoid 'assembly required' items.

Re: MORE LEAD-FREE MUGS, AND BAMBOO STEP STOOLS

@stevieb,   I just asked hubby what constituted the assembly of the stool.  As far as he could remember, it was the little legs that were not attached (for flat packing, I imagine),  and all he had to do was screw them into the flat platform.  He thinks there was a little included screwdriver along with the instructions and screws.

He thought it was very simple, but we all have our own comfort level with "assembly"--  I don't care for it either, if I can avoid it!
