Re: MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO SYNDROME

Not really ...... if someone raves about a product on the message boards, I might check out the item number, but that doesn't cause me to make the purchase. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

However, I DO relay on written reviews of something I'm already considering ... hope that makes sense.

Re: MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO SYNDROME

I will say that I've gotten some very good recommendations from these forums and have ended up buying some things. However, I just paid off all my credit cards and haven't felt such freedom in a very long time. I locked up my cards in my safety deposit box so I can't get to them easily and will stop spending as I did before. Because of this, I now look at QVC in such a different light. Their sales pitches are so silly and most of their stuff, I don't need anyway. I've turned it off for the most part now. There will still be some things that I'll order or reorder but no more "falling under the spell."

Hi jackielee, good for you. I rarely use a credit card, preferring to do debit as it helps curb my spending. I know how much I have in available cash that way so I can't go overboard or I'll be living under a tree. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin} I do sometimes see rave posts about an item and check it out and decide I have to have it. Monkey see, Monkey do, I guess. Smile

Re: MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO SYNDROME

And people wonder why they put up with the nonsense on the forums. Its a money making situation overall. I have to qualify that with one negative: Its kept me from buying Temptations.
