Love the chandelier!!! So pretty..Always love a fireplace in the Dining Room too.

The rim and interior of the fireplace look blue like the color of the water in the framed picture centered above the mantel - I like how the interior of the fireplace and the float ball relate to the painting.

It seems unusual that the fireplace is not centered below the mantel.

The dining room and area adjacent to it are nice - the green vase on the mantel, the dining room table, the chairs with the contoured seats, the sideboard, the double lamp.  Don't care for the modern looking dining room glass float balls/water-bubbles light fixture, though.

Borrowing a page from Steven Gambrel's nautical-themed Six Swans House (photo in message #32 in the "BOLD-SIMPLE-ENTRY" thread), maybe this home could benefit from the addition of a carousel horse.   :-)

I like both rooms.  I noticed the double lamp in the dining area too.  There is a cozy feel to the home.  The leather chairs are nice, look comfortable.

Yes, that's a cast iron dog, and yes, they were used as doorstops. My family still has one that goes back to our maternal grandmother. My sister has it in her house now.

Very nice and cozy. I like the warmth, colors, and most of the furnishings and accessories. The living room looks comfortable. I like the dining room, but as a few others posted, I dislike the chandelier.

Warm and cozy rooms. I love the woodwork and built-ins, along with the look of the dining room, overall. Less fond of the leather chairs and the dining room light fixture.
