I love the look of the luminara candles and I have one that was presented the first time they claimed battery life had been improved and several since that were supposed to have even longer battery life. I'm still not impressed. The candles themselves are expensive and add to that the cost of replacing batteries all the time and most of mine are just sitting adding a little color- the blue one is an exact match for my harlequin dishes. I have a battery charger and it does great with the AAA and C's but the D batteries take forever to charge and don't seem to last that long after they are first put in the candles. Give me the CI anytime. I have some of othe 8" ones in my windows that have batteries that have lasted almost a year and none of that blinking off and on when they need new ones.
