It sounds like what you are looking for is 100% cotton percale sheets, usually a 200 thread count. Target & J C Penney carry some.

Costco 680 sheets are 100% cotton.

I have Member's Mark Hotel Premier Collection 700 Thread Count Solid Egyptian Cotton Sheet Set.  King Size $90.00

 

These are from Sam's and are thick.  

 

You may like them, I just prefer a bit thinner sheets.
