Your vase is so beautiful.  I collect blue and white china (mostly Spode).  And I guess I am an “Etsy addict.”  Your vase is a treasure, and I know you will always love it.

I'm on Etsy quite a bit, too. I also find a lot at a big Antique mall about 25 min. away from where I live.  I could never find this size vase.  I looked up your Spode...it is a very pretty blue.

That is a beauty!   I love the Netherlands and the windmills!   Enjoy your new piece, sounds like it's going to look very pretty in your dining room.

Thanks!  I am also very fond of windmills and almost anything Dutch.

It’s so pretty on it’s own ; it doesn’t need fake flowers , etc , in it . It’s a stand alone piece.

I agree that it's a stand alone piece.  I decided not to put flowers it it.

I would love to put a picture of it on here but I will need my daughter's help to do it.  I was having trouble with my computer and took it back to factory condition. Not a good thing.  Thankfully, my son-in-law had put all my pictures on a disk or I would have lost them all. In fact I did loose everything! I still haven't figured out how to post a picture from my phone or my computer as everything has changed. All I know how to do is copy pictures on the internet to here. I copied this picture off of an Etsy message to me.

Very large Delft blue trumpet shaped vase blue and white image 1

This vase is beautiful.  It came yesterday. It's close to 15 inches tall and 8 inches around the widest part of vase. I have been doing a cupboard in blue and white china pieces and needed something big and tall for my dining room table. I saw this on Etsy and hesitated to buy anything from overseas (Netherlands).... but..... so glad I did.  It is so beautiful! There were 2 of these, exactly the same....except one had a very small chip underneath  the opening at the top that they repaired and you can't even see it.  They sold it  for a discounted price. It came very well packed and only took 10 days to get here.  I'm a happy camper!

@jubilant

It's lovely.  It will go nicely with your blue & white collection. I have two pieces of Dutch blue & white which I actually purchased in Aruba.

@jubilant  Lovely. I have a tea caddy with the Dutch windmill motif and find it so pretty. It's nice to see blue and white pieces that are a bit different from the norm, although I tend to like most of them regardless.

@stevieb   I like most of them, too.  In fact, my hutch is a variety of brands of vintage/antique blue and white china.

@jubilant

A dear friend, who was the director of the school of nursing at the hospital where I worked, was an avid antique collector.   I once admired her blue and white china collection.   When she retired and moved back to her home in Georgia, she gifted me several pieces of her blue and white collection.  One such piece is almost a "twin" to your vase.

I know you'll enjoy your new vase ... I love mine.

@SoX   Lucky you!  I think this one will probably be my favorite. It's just a little softer looking than some of my other pieces.  I have tried it in three different places in my great room and I like it at all three!
