Re: Light LR + Colorful Accents

First impression:  Ugh!

Looks like it could be a cute house without mixing 50's modern with Santa Fe.  One might think it would work, but it doesn't.

This style of furniture is very uncomfortable.  Style of rug, and SW jars above the fireplace are out of place in this type of house, IMO. There's nothing Southwestern about it.

Too much light color...walls, woodwork, furniture, light oak floor, beige area rug under the Native American.

Tiny coffee table overloaded with unimaginative decor.  No place for a cup of coffee.

Bookshelves lack creativity.

What's going on with the ceiling lights in the next room?

Possibly, done on a budget, but there are much better low cost choices.

Decor rates an F.

Very pretty colors & spaces.

Just too many built-ins.  Also, I would rather a striped rug than the pattern it presently has.  I like the simplistic furnishings.

I like almost everything but the rug. I don't mind the furniture but wonder how comfortable it is.

While I think it is a very colorful, light and cheerful looking space, I don't think the furniture looks all that comfy!

Like the room but would take all furniture and decor out and redecorate.
