Re: Light Kitchen, Inset Tile

The inset tile is a very pretty accent area it is like jewelry for the kitchen.

The room needs color.  Can still keep it light.  White isn't doing anything for the room.

I like everything about this kitchen except those darn metal chairs. I prefer rattan, wicker, or something upholstered to warm it up a little.....

@lolakimono

Another good one!

This kitchen is nice, just needs color.  I'd put a more colorful cushion on the stools & paint the walls a soft color or maybe a wall with a contrasting color or wallpaper.

Love the inset, the arched window over the sink & the wood/glass door to break up the starkness.

Re: Light Kitchen, Inset Tile

I would have cabinets on either side of the window and make all the cabinets wood.  I don't care for open shelves and it is wasted space.

The room is too white and cold.  Don't care for the bar chairs at all.  Again, too cold.  I do like the tile.

Re: Light Kitchen, Inset Tile

It looks like a nice kitchen space but that inset, whatever it looks like up close, doesn't make up for the sort of chilly vibe, the lack of color or especially for those awful stools... The stools pretty much ruin the overall look of what could be a nicer space... I'm also not loving the cabinets that exist or the lack thereof, though perhaps there's an extensive pantry behind the wooden door... The layout also seems odd to me with a long galley going to the back and far removed from the stove, refrigerator, sink and the island...

In my pantry with my cupcakes...

Re: Light Kitchen, Inset Tile

Such a beautiful, spacious kitchen, but it's so blah! That inset would look so pretty with some bright, colorful tiles. I hope there are some over the counter cabinets that we can't see!
