Lets Talk About Window Blinds

I am looking for recommendations and your experience with companies that sell and install window blinds. I currently have aluminum 1 inch blinds on all of the windows that need to be replaced. The cat has destroyed some on a few of the windows trying to look outside, lol. I am thinking of replacing with wood 2 or 2 1/2 inch, or wood alternative (which they say is better in areas with moisture - live in Seattle). There are so many different companies out there who sell and install blinds, and reviews are so-so with all. Who have you used, and what was your experience? TIA.
