I've been using Era liquid for 49 years -it's my fave; if I can't find it I use Tide original.
I also use OxiClean Versatile or White Revive (powder) in every load of clothes. Been using Oxi for almost 20 years - no stains ever.

Depends on what I am laundering. Towels are laundered in plain detergent (no FS) than rinsed in white vinegar. Delicates in detergent with SF. I think being a little "picky" about the laundry extends the life of clothing. No FS makes the towels more absorbent.

This is my choice as well.

I recently changed to detergent sheets. They clean as well as liquid detergent and are easy to tear if you have a smaller load. They don't take up so much space and there is less plastic floating around the world.

@Group 5 minus 1 Agree about not using FS on towels. I had stopped using liquid fabric softener on clothes too and was using just 1/8 of a sheet. I became intolerant of the scents. I've even stopped that. I find it's not needed. I only dry my clothes in the dryer for a few minutes though then hang them or lay flat to dry completely.

I like Tide brand, I guess b'cuz it's all my mom used.
I like the "Free & Gentle" best.
I use liquid as that's what I find out there most easily these days...for a while, until I googled it, I didn't even think they made powder anymore. But I may buy a box because my mom, "the laundry queen", who knew how to get out anything...used to often "make a paste" with the powder, along with "Lestoil" which I do keep on hand...that grit of the paste helps to get out tough stains. For years I had an old box of the Tide powder, (I mean from the early 2000s!!), I'd use for those type stains...I only just used it up a few years ago.
On another note....we stay at family's beach home to "house sit" occasionally, and she has some "natural" "toxin free" brand with "Molly" in the name...I liked that. I always mean to buy some...but always wind up just picking up Tide again when I'm at the store...easy. But, Tide etc, so expensive these days!!! I try to get it at discount stores or on sale only. I've also used ALL "fragrance free" sometimes when that's a bargain.

Whatever liquid is on sale!
Honestly, can't tell the diff in the cleanliness of my clothes from cheap to pricey!

All Free & Clear Plus found at Costco. It has whiteners and brighteners in it and makes a huge difference in the brightness of our clothing, since we have very hard water. Costco is the only place I can find the "Plus" formulation. For towels and underwear, I also add Borax.
For my clothing, I use a small amount of the All F&C and a generous amount of Tyler Diva Glamorous Wash. I don't think a better scent was ever created.

@Ainhisg , Tyler's Diva Glamourous Wash is my favorite, just pricey for me. I will splurge every once in a blue moon, however.
