Anyone tried these yet? My daughter will be heading off to college this fall and thought it would be easier for her to use and not lug a heavy container of detergent. Also thinking about Pods but I'd have to make sure that they can be used on the washing machines at college.

Let her decide -- she's got nine months before she leaves. And it's OK if she waits till she gets there to decide.

She is going to college. Teach her how to do laundry if you haven't and let go. College is about doing these things for yourself and growing into an adult as it about classes and tests. She will be fine doing her laundry and making the decision for herself.

My granddaughters are both in college. They buy their laundry detergent locally as they need it. I know they both use a liquid detergent...their choice.
My husband and I travel in our RV and we take a small lock and lock container of Nellie's Laundry Soda with us. It only takes a small scoop for each load and is easy to travel with. It's not heavy and I have very little to lug around.

I haven't seen or used laundry sheets but if they're anything like dryer sheets, they'd certainly be easier to carry and store than a liquid or powdered detergent.

I have been using Earth Breeze laundry sheets for months. I like them very much. They do the job and I don't have to lug heavy containers into the house. When my girls went off to college, I spent time putting aside "stuff" months ahead of their leaving...not because they weren't independent but rather knowing my doing this would help me and them through an emotional transition for all of us. It worked

I also have purchased and used the Earth Breeze laundy sheets in the unscented formulation to help with both my and my granddaughter's sensitive skin. I can say that they do work nicely. If you have a smaller load then half a sheet is good. For larger loads you use a full sheet. They leave no residue of any sort on the clothes when coming out of the washer. And they clean well- I saw no difference in cleaning power between these and Tide pods. If carrying large boxes of laundry detergent is an issue for you then these would certainly help.

@annie315 If washing a large load or a small load of clothes, are the sheets perforated for the correct load of laundry.

Years ago brought my first washing sheets from Evine S20 was the brand I started off with for myself. When I went to visit my mother one time brought them to do her laundry. OMG were they the talk of her senior apartment complex as when the other women saw I threw a sheet into washing machine they thought I was doing wash wrong lol ,cause I had no container of detergent with me,they became inquisitive and asked what I put into machine told them they were wash sheets which they never heard of but each one wrote down the name as they thought it would be so much easier then lugging a container for them .Over the years I have seen many companies come out with the washing sheets I haven't brought a plastic container of detergent in many years.
I also liked EcoEgg was on HSN years ago was from the Uk they were washing beads you put in this plastic egg .I see they are sold online .
My daughter got started on the sheets as her guy always poured to much detergent into machine so this was perfect for them.
Think any college girl or guy would really like using them ,so easy no suds overflowing from the machine which can occur for ones who are doing their own wash for the first time.
I would buy a few packages and give them as a send off gift to any college freshman.
