Re: Laundry Detergent question

I have used ALL for decades and have been using All Free and Clear for quite a while.  No scent and no problems.

I use HE liquid detergents - right now I'm using Tide - but have also used other brands. For a full load, I use 1 teaspoon detergent - sometimes I add a little vinegar and/or baking soda.

A year ago, I had a problem with my washer - and the repairman said I was using too much laundry detergent - which is now very concentrated. Add to that an HE washing machine (high efficiency) - which uses less water.

When I do a large load, I use 1 teaspoon detergent.

For small load, I use 1/2 teaspoon detergent.

They do have clear/free liquid detergents. You may be using too much detergent.

Re: Laundry Detergent question

NELLIES....the best ever. DH and I both have sensitive skin and we have tried every brand out there. I finally caved and gave Nellies a try. Been using for 3 years now. It cleans as well as the top brands, leaves no residue on clothes, the clothes come out smelling fresh, no like air freshener....

Re: Laundry Detergent question

I switch between Tide free and gentle and All free and clear.  No perfumes, dyes to irritate our skin or nose. They clean our clothes the first time through.  I know many here love Nellie's powder. I don't. It is totally useless, like washing your clothes with plain water. It did not clean clothes at all. I wouldn't waste my time, money or resources on Nellie's.   I also don't use dryer sheets. I use the wool dryer balls. They work great.
