Re: Laundry Detergent question

I like All Free & Clear.  I used to use Arm & Hammer unscented but found it wasn't doing the job of getting clothes clean anymore and made the switch.

For me, the absolute worst I ever used was Purex - it was like I put the load in on a water rinse cycle only.  It didn't clean anything.

Another user of All Free & Clear - been using the All brand for 40+ years and have not had any issues.

I also use Nellie's!!

I like Nellie's. It rinses out completely so there's no leftover residue on your stuff to cause irritation. There's no fragrance...just leaves a clean smell to my clothes and stuff.

Re: Laundry Detergent question

I use one full cap of the original Tide per load & I fill the machine up with as much water as it will hold/allow  ... I like my clothes to come out clean & smelling fresh .... I recently bought a new washer & found a GE that allows you to fill it with a full basin of water which is right up my alley 😍

I don’t stick to just one detergent, but always stick to specific brands.   Right now I have Tide Simply Clean, Era, Arm and Hammer with OxyClean pods, and a stash of Wisk.   We use Purex in the washer in the basement on rugs, dog towels, etc.   I am not in the market for any new products; I just stick to what works here.

Teacher daughter uses only Method laundry detergent.

Trucker daughter uses only Tide; 3 different types in both liquid and pods.

Re: Laundry Detergent question

My husband has an allergic (itchy) reaction to detergents.  I've used Tide free but it obviously is not really "free".  I was reading online about it & people were saying it was the worst for allergies no matter how many rinses.  I now use Nellies & it is great!

Sometimes when I walk my dog in my neighborhood I'll get a strong whiff of someone's dryer sheet coming out their dryer exhaust as I walk by. It stinks.Woman Tongue ...and I'm thinkin' to myself  'Gosh, if they only knew what was in those sheets'.

There have been times when I have had to shut my kitchen windows because of the dryer sheet smell coming from a neighbors house.  It can be so bad sometimes you can actually taste it.

Aside from the way they smell, they leave a film all over everything.
