Re: Latest Pyrex

[ Edited ]

For those that like the 4 cup storage glass bowls that Pyrex keeps coming up with, here is one of their latest.

And this actually comes in 4 sizes instead of just the one 4 cup they usually offer.

They are one cup, two cup, four cup, and seven cup.

The pattern is a remake of a very old and very highly sought after pattern that appears to have only been done on one dish.

It is called "Lucky in Love", and in the original 1959 casserole, has sold on ebay for  over $4000.

I don't like the pattern at all, but if I found the original in Goodwill, I'd certainly buy it.

I only bought these because I love the variety of sizes, and having them all match. And they all nest inside each other with the lids on, my favorite thing in the kitchen for space saving.

I wish they would release all their seasonal, anniversary, and printed storage bowls in all these sizes all the time!

Thank you!  The other day I got an email from Pyrex and totally forgot I wanted to order these.  I really like them and don't want to miss out.  A couple of months ago I purchased some of their bowls with hearts.  I love those too.

Those are kind of cute.  I tend to go for animal type stuff, so I am still happy with my little birdie ones.  Smiley Happy

I think I saw some bunny ones here, but they weren't cute bunnies.    Smiley Sad  I don't know why the heck I need any more stuff like this but if I see some cute animal design I just cannot resist.  Smiley Very Happy

The heart ones are very pretty.

I've had these with flowers since maybe the 1980s.  The two smaller ones broke.  But in spite of the flower pattern, we used the larger one for an elementary school project for my DD.  We made a cell out of clear gelatin in the bowl, and laid in items that look like whatever is within a cell.  I seem to recall it worked out well for her.

I collect vintage Pyrex, especially mixing bowl sets. I don't have this set, buy have always liked it. Because it is clear and white, I think it goes well with so many other things.

OMG, I have that set!  Smiley Happy   I'm not even one for floral-type designs but these are really beautiful.    I agree - must have been 80s, maybe even early 80s (?).

@GingerPeach---So funny!  And a little o/t, my apologies to the OP....Our daughter made a human cell using a clear quiche dish--that I still have--- and think about that project every time I use it.
