It has that Sixties', Alpine feeling. Doesn't really much resemble that memorable "living room" that was the Christmas set for Frank and Bing, except for the cozy, "suspended fireplace" look, which I always love. Instant, endlessly atmospheric focal point-- if you can tear yourself away from the view outside!
Especially in December, love chalet interiors. Of course, a la Sixties', the furniture is classically more linear and squared off than I prefer. This wood and glass charmer is in Chamonix, France. Even the dining room is determinedly "modern" but still looks like a fun place to hang out, serve fondue. How retro can you get?!
Exterior:
Whoever did the lighting on this house, they were good. Both the moody living room, and the house's lit exterior as twilight approaches, suggest a warm retreat from winter's chilly blasts...

Could have been the setting of an Andy Williams Christmas special.

Love it..I can hear Sinatras Greatest Hits playing on the Stereo and see me sitting on that sofa looking at the view and the fireplace.
