Kitchen cabinet hardware

I'm wondering what color hardware to use? I have stainless appliances, stainless sink and faucet but my lighting has the oil rubbed bronze color. I don't know if I should go with stainless knobs and pulls for my kitchen cabinets? Or do I go with the oil rubbed bronze? I'm thinking the stainless will make my kitchen look too contemporary. But if I use the oil rubbed bronze pulls it'll look like it doesn't match? My cabinets are white but my island is a dark wood. I have a very busy granite with black, white, several shades of browns. I welcome any opinions! Thanks!
