I tend to find them at TJ Maxx, Marshall's and Homegoods. I pay less and avoid shipping costs. I picked up one of the cushioned rugs before Christmas and it's proven to be one of those small nice pleasures that make a difference!

WalMart, Big Lots, Target, HomeGoods.......lots of places have nice kitchen rugs.

We don't use "kitchen" rugs, but have 2 Persian-style rugs in the kitchen with the non-skid matting that you cut to size underneath. They are longer rugs like runners so that they go a long way under the cooktop area and in the sink area.

We've done that for years. We use the kitchen all the time but aren't very messy. We have wood floors too so the rugs look nice.

I use the water hog rugs from LL Bean in my kitchen. They look good, stay put and are easy to clean. We have hard wood floors in our kitchen.

I have an Imprint Mat. They're like GelPro, only less expensive. My friend had a GelPro, and it would curl and cause her to trip. Mine doesn't do that. I love it. It really makes a difference in comfort when I'm standing in the kitchen. They're having a sale right now.

I finally just went to Gel Pro mats. I have four of them in my kitchen and they work a lot better for me.

I bought a Gel Pro that they made with a real fabric covering, looks just like a rug. They only made them in one size (rather small) and have since discontinued them (Boo hoo for me!). I loved those, as they looked more like a traditional rug, not a vinyl mat type thing, and was hoping they'd expand the line. It must not have been popular, as they are almost gone now, but it is the best wearing thing (and added comfort of a Gel Pro) that I've ever found.

I always liked the way persian rugs look with wood in a kitchen!

I got mine from Kohls and really like them. They have held up well and were not too expensive with sales and extra % off.

In my home and vacation house, I have a thick oriental carpet that DH cut out the center to go around the island. Got them at Homegoods on their semi- annual sale years ago. They are patterned so spills don't show. They cushion the feet wonderfully and are warm underfoot in the winter. Have steam cleaned them periodically.

I bought a VPH rug, then purchased a rug pad for it from the Q and it holds the rug in place.

Now I'm trying to find something to keep a rug from "scooting" in my sun room, but that is a small area rug on top of wall-to-wall carpet. Haven't found anything that works for that yet.
