Kitchen Faucet Opinions Needed

I have 3 sinks in my kitchen.  Two by a window with Shaw sinks that is separated by the dishwasher and a prep sink in the island.  One of the main faucets has a leak on top.  Had a plumber out and my choices are: replace with same set up or come up with something else.  What I mean by that is that what's there is a 3 piece widespread faucets (and handles) and sprayer and a soap dispenser.  It's a Victorian style which I do not like.  One of the choices is to get a one piece faucet that has a plate to cover the two holes of either side.  Do you think the faucets with the plates look bad and are outdated?

@ScrapHappy We replaced an older faucet with a one piece and LOVE it.  One thing I highly recommend in the kitchen is a touch faucet.  It's a wonderful thing!

I dislike one piece faucets. Too hard to really clean. The three piece  has enough space to get between the handles and spout.

I like a one piece faucet, my problem is I would have to have a plate with it to cover up the other 2 hole on each side because what I have now is a 3 piece widespread kitchen faucet  AND a sprayer to the left and a soap dispenser ro the right.  So, a total of 5 holes.  Countertops cannot be changed out.  If I went with the one faucet with a plate, I still have two holes (one on each side) to contend with.  Choices for that is: a button that matches but doesn't do anything, or instant hot water (which is expensive).  I can leave the soap dispenser.

I don't like one piece faucets. Hard to clean, get grundgy and calcium buildup. Check out faucets dot com. They might have something that works.

Kitchen faucets can be a headache to replace. I have a smaller version of the same type of sink set up. Price was a big factor in deciding which way to go. I went with the matching button and single long plate. I have the sprayer and the soap dispenser built in. I put a small stained glass caddy on the other side to hold a sponge and balance out the space on the single plate. I'm pleased with the outsome.

I have a one-piece kitchen faucet in my new house. Like the majority of new faucets, it has the pull down sprayer built in where the water comes out. The small handle is on the side.

It never gets dirty or grungey. Because I have a water softener & it's spot resistant, it doesn't spot either.

It may be possible to cover up the two outlying holes with some type of metal " button "

We have a Delta faucet almost identical to the ones pictured in our kitchen.  We have had no issues at all cleaning it and it's matte black.  Even with our spotty water it is easy to take care of--no trouble.

And touch it anywhere with your arm, elbow, hand and the water goes on and off. Maybe that's part of why it stays so clean.  Anyway, we love it!  And the sprayer is great.

@ScrapHappy we replaced the faucet (two handles and side sprayer) with the pull down faucet with built in sprayer.  i love it.  no more aggravation with hose which use to get stuck under sink.  sprayer hole was covered with Danco 89478 sink hole cover available at the big A  it is a match to stainless sink and is much easier to keep clean.
