Speaking for myself, I like a little color without it being "too much".  Of course that will be different for us all but this bedroom just does it for me.

It's a pretty room but a little drab for me.   I like a little more color in all of my rooms.  Brighter colors elevate my mood.   My area of the country isn't known for having an abundance of sunshine so the brighter colors just make me feel happy.
