Just Discovered MacKenzie-Childs Collection....Think I'm In Trouble

Was channel surfing and came across Evine showing pieces from the MacKenzie-Childs line. I ended up watching the whole show. I have never heard of this company before but I totally loved everything I saw. Plates trays, teapots, cake holders, pitches, etc. Very expensive, but their prices were reasonable because after watching the show I googled other stores for a price comparrison.

It's not quite the way my house is styled right now but I am sure I could manage to work a few pieces in. Need to tuck a little money away before I decide what pieces I want. I never should have turned on the tv LOL

I watches some shows today also. And yesterday a little. Very nice old fashion collection. But the prices are outrageous!!!! And you have to hand wash it too. I would buy a large tea cattle for when I have a big family gathering, but for $125???!!! Ridiculous!!! I used to live in NYC and have 2 enameled pots ( this kind of style with flowers) from the years back and they were so much cheaper!!! B TW the metal handles are not pleasant to deal with when they are hot.

If it sells people should have too much money on their hands.... Otherwise it looks very  very nice.

I love MacKenzie-Childs, too.  Be sure to check Neiman Marcus before you order from Evine though.  NM has free shipping and free returns.  Evine is only free shipping when they're having MacKenzie-Childs shows.  They are usually the exact same price as other stores.

I have quite a few pieces.  I have the teapot and one other piece in Flower Market white and the canister set and some other pieces in Parchment Check.  I don't think Evine sells the canisters that I have.  I've been thinking about getting the cookie jar in Parchment Check and maybe the spoon rest in Flower Market white.  Most of what I have was gifts.

I ordered this mini embellished bottle brush tree. I couldn't resist the plaid touches on the urn.

You are in trouble...I have quite a few pieces in my kitchen. My kids buy me a piece or 2 for Christmas each year and I occasionally buy them for myself. I have been collecting Mackenzie-Childs for about 5 years.

Who would want a metal coffee mug? It belongs to the prison ware.

Cute! But, no,no,no!!!!!! Money should be spent on fine porcelain only!!!!!!

Re: Just Discovered MacKenzie-Childs Collection....Think I'm In Trouble

I don't understand this line...it is metal (what kind don't know) with enamel on it...then she said glass over top?? I thought that's what they said....I watched some of her last show.  I agree it's all pretty for sure but how could you cook in those things?  The handles would not only be hot but wouldn't they over time discolor from going in the oven??

I could see a few items like the canisters or cookie jars....even the tea pot for decor purposes...platter for cookies that kind of thing but not for actual baking/cooking.

The price point is high for sure....I don't own any of it....
