@bargainsgirl  I just watched that presentation and couldn't believe the whole thing! At one point the hosts asked them what they would use the item for, and they said they didn't know???? Or, something to that effect.

I just looked at what was being sold today. It's definitely overpriced junk.

Every little town in Oklahoma with more than 100 people has a "unique" store that sells stuff like this.  If you are in need, come to Oklahoma and you can buy real original junk!  And it's "unique!"  Woman Very Happy

Tastes differ, but it does seem overpriced.

@bargainsgirl

Since I don't watch, this line is new to me.

Took a look at the offerings and....seems I've seen the same or similar items in the Hobby Lobby ad I get in my email.

If she can convince folks to buy at those prices, well, OK then.

Re: Junk Gypsey

[ Edited ]

I agree, they're simply capitalizing on their brand, selling quite common things you can find elsewhere for less, in the "style" of their business which used to take actual "junk" and refashion into decor. Because of the uniqueness to some of the items...fashioned in their style...they feel they can get those prices.  I wonder how many are buying.

I looked and I do like the "shabby chic" type side board, which I actually could use one narrow like that and I love those hammered metal looking, scroll designed drawers. However, at about $450.00 (with s/h and tax)...I wouldn't spend that for composite board. Wayfair has some very nice ones for 1/3 to 1/2 less, that would suit me fine. Anything I've gotten from WF was decent quality for what it was.

None of WF's has those pretty drawers, and of course that's the design feature here they're probably hoping helps to sell it.

I'm thinking a veneer can even be put on any piece's drawers, by a motivated crafty person.

I used to like the actual JG show where they took you "junking" with them, and showed you the remondel they used all the things for...long ago it was on A&E.

@Love my grandkids   lol.  One woman's junk is another woman's treasure.   I saw two different items only last night -  when I came back to QVC the second time, the first item I saw had sold out.  I never checked on the decorative shelf that was the other.

I do think the line is pricey, so those who are able could probably shop secondhand and redo, but I can safely say that I will not do that, so if I wanted/needed exactly what was being offered, I would pay for it.
