BB&B carries her line and I found an absolutely perfect rug for my hearth room. However, it's only a 6x9, and is over $600.....a little more than I wanted to spend for that area.

I don't want to hijack but could you do a thread on your hearth room?
Is this the same ideas as a keeping room?
I so love the concept!

i was good, I left "empty handed" 🙈🙈before I bought more bunnies. (Yet I am going back tomorrow for those garlands with the pretty pastel eggs).
I know what you mean when you go shopping at Pier 1.....it's like experiencing Peter Rabbit's home.....and they have other neat stuff there too...... One of the Sales Associates said that it's like going to work in a Fantasy Land, while some people can't wait to get home from work to de-stress, well she said she goes to work to de-stress!!!

@Snowpuppy I think it's called a hearth room because it is connected to my kitchen and has a fireplace. It's a little too small to be a full size family room.
I love the effect of having the feel of a fireplace almost in my kitchen. But, it doesn't hold a sofa, so we have two recliners from which we watch TV.
It's kind of a charming sitting room, but really doesn't lend itself to company.

I like Joanna and Chip, but as the show has gotten more press in the last few years, she comes across as the "authoritative" one who knows her stuff and puts down Chip when he suggests anything she doesn't like. I like how they change the house layouts, but have never really liked the distressed overly farm feel that she prefers in the decor. It seems like the powers that be think Joanna has been the reason for their success and that is why she now has the magazine and the Pier1 and BB&B lines. It would not surprise me at all if she comes on QVC soon like the Scott brothers because she is a brand now. The Bed and Breakfast, the Silos, the bakery...all that seems to be an extension of her sense of self. In a recent episode she was talking to Chip about having outgrown the farm - that idea has been thrown out there and will probably happen based on how they have moved forward over the years. For some reason all this new activity is rubbing me the wrong way. They are now about the money.

@Ilovetea yes they are all about the money now. She is cashing in on the success of the show. I don't like her distressed barn decor. Maybe others like it but I won't be buying any.

I think her line is completely overpriced.
A bit full of ourself maybe?!!
