Sorry for continuing with the O/T about the pears, but I just ordered a set of Valerie's.

Did anyone see them just presented by Valerie and Jayne?  I thought they looked nice.  Some are more green, while the others are yellow with the blush red area.

@SHOPR, I love a lot of the faux fruit.  I posted a pic of some of my beaded fruit.  I just got it out of a cabinet need to clean the bowl and tray.  @mousiegirl, she loves it too.  I just couldn't bring myself to get rid of it when everyone else did.  I think Valerie's pears are very pretty.  I thought of ordering them but then thought of all the beaded fruit I have.  I'm sure they'll be beautiful in the apothecary jar.

@mousiegirl,  I know she did.  I need to go through all of mine and find some grapes and Bananas and different stuff  and get the bowl ready to put back out.  I thought of you because I know how much you like it.  Just keep looking at flea markets, garage sales.  I think I found what it's in the picture at our gospel mission and washed it and put it away.  I also found some at Goodwill last year.  It is still around.  I think it will come back soon anyway.  I like Valerie's pears today.

@mousiegirl, Oh, I didn't do it to make you feel bad.:-(  It is still around, keep looking.  Like I said in another message to you, this came from a charity store.  If it's on ebay, it's too pricey.  I have some that I bought when Home Interiors had it. I just can't pass it up when I see it and it's usually cheap and dusty but it will wash in soapy water. I don't soak it but just wash it.  I hope you'll be lucky and find some too.

Lucymo, The only place I have looked is ebay, and I have found some, but for the most part, that which is offered have flaws, and who needs that.  Since I found some, I am not as crazed, but if Valerie brings them back, or if I happen to find some elsewhere, I will grab them. Smiley Happy

@Gemspirit, Well, I sort of got OT by posting beaded fruit but it isn't lit either.  I don't always want lit items either and I agree that to pay for something that isn't needed or wanted is a waste of money.  Last year we spent $75 for one shopping trip to light some of our decor.  I have decided this year I'll use the mini light strings in a lot of my vignettes and less in individual pieces.  Now, some of our decor pieces are fantastic when lit and I'll be sure to do those.  I also love the Luminara candles.  But, no, I agree, everything does not have to be lit.  Good thread.

@Luckymo ~ I don't know if anyone mentioned this in the thread. I went for a fitting today for my daughters wedding!!!  Anyway, I hope I'm not repeating..but does anyone remember how much Lisa Mason used to love beaded fruit, anything beaded, I think.

I have a couple things from that time and always think of Lisa when I pull them out.

@Gemspirit

Congrats on the upcoming wedding. Enjoy the process with your daughter, as I think it is more memorable than the wedding itself. So much to share and have fun with. It's all about the journey.
