Way too elaborate for my vintage, antique cottage taste.......

This furniture is so similar to the furniture my mom had when I was growing up. Our sofa was French Provincial, gold (like a heavy damask /tapestry done in an almost metallic color of gold) with detailed carving; the piano was curvy white French Provincial; 2 chairs were Italian Provincial - pale green velvet seats on white carved wood; the dining set and hutch were curvy white French Provincial with detailed carving; and we had Italian Provincial marble top tables with fruitwood carved legs. My bedroom furniture was French Provincial in ivory.

Our Italian Provincial carved furniture had straight vertical carving on the legs with a rounded section near the top. The French Provincial furniture was much like what is shown in the pics with curved arms and ornate floral carving. My mom surprised me with a French Provincial bedroom set around 1988 as a gift when I got my first masters' degree. It's cherry wood with ornate floral carving. I love it and still have it.

The rest of my home now is modern with a few antique detailed pieces.
