@Regal Bee Where did you learn to decorate so beautifully?  Does it just come natural to you, did you go school to learn.   Whatever it is, you are one very talented lady!!!

Yes, was wondering if you studied design or it just comes naturally?

@Regal Bee

I will add to the chorus -- lovely!

Are those Fitz & Floyd green lettuce dishes on the wall?

I remember seeing some like that around Easter.  Love F&F and have a few things.  So detailed!

The look especially nice hanging.

Re: In My Kitchen Cooking Away

Thank you Ladies, so much. You are all so kind.

Yes, I did study Interior Design in school but I must say I break most of the rules. I am a true believer that you should decorate with the things that make you happy.

The green plates are just inexpensive ones from Marshall's. I have had them for years and they have appeared in almost every room of our home. I do love Fitz and Floyd and have several pieces. Smiley Very Happy

Since I am hosting a crowd this year, I am planning ahead and doing some of my cooking and freezing now. I love to cook and bake and watch a college football game.

Hope your Saturday is going well. Smiley Very Happy

I love your kitchen!  It's so warm and cozy.  I especially love the bar stools.  I've always loved the lock of an upholstered bar stool.  And yours look especially comfortable.

I just realized that I have the same backsplash tile (at least it looks that way from your picture).  Although I love the look of contemporary glass tiles, I find that I'm drawn to the tumbled stone look.

It's so obvious that you put a great deal of effort into decorating your home, and I hope you enjoy it for many years to come!

Re: In My Kitchen Cooking Away

I am hosting our Holiday Dinner/December Birthday Dinner early this year (Dec9th)..the Birthday Husband requested a seafood dinner so I can not prep early. I did order the dessert so I do not have to bake. I try and have a different Dinner theme each year.

Thanksgiving is celebrated at my brother and SIL's. I bring a big Antipasto.

We have a big family..every dinner celebration is over 25 people and now they are having babies so each year it gets bigger. It is a lot of eating and a lot of fun.

Again you have made me smile with another pic of your warm welcoming home...love it! I truly look forward to seeing what you post. Thank you for sharing.
