Re: If there was one thing you could…

Replace the shelf unit.  Taller and about 2" narrower.

A half bath [sink & commode) with a door for privacy, underneath a back staircase.

I can't choose just one:

1.  Quartz countertops

2. Paint the kitchen

I just had my kitchen redone, and I love everything about it.  One thing I wish I had would be:

Re: If there was one thing you could…

I made the biggest mistake when redid my kitchen.  The designer wanted to remove the wall between kitchen/dining room area.

At first, I was for it but added $11,000 to the job, so, not knowing what or where I'd be decided to forgo this expense.

I have full sliders and bay windows so no walls to have counter space.  This is the biggest drawback of my "galley" kitchen...

Hindsight, would have chose the ledge (designer suggested) for quartz tops but didn't listen to her...

Oh great, now I want to again remodel the right way😉

My awful stove. It is a Magic Chef and it has the burners that all have to pull apart to clean. Very old fashioned. Tell my husband all the time. I'm asking for one for Christmas!

A walk-in pantry like Ina Garten's would be wonderful.

Re: If there was one thing you could…

My kitchen has an upper and lower corner cabinet with bifold doors on them. The lower one has two huge lazy susans to help with access, but they're awful.  If I was paying closer attention I would have insisted on a different design, but I was on the other side of the country and it was hard to micro-manage.

There are two things - an island with a sink and a breakfast nook.
