I'd like to respond to this comment although I fully understand the OP's photo was used for demonstration purposes.  It is affording me the opportunity to voice--without directing toward anyone's personal photos of home decor--that, to me, it represents a trend in decorating that I find impractical and pretentious.

Sitting at this table setting would be uncomfortable for most people.  I will begin with the obvious by pointing out the centerpiece is too tall.  Blocking sight across the table is not conducive to the communion of a meal.

Additionally, besides for being entirely too crowded, piling on is eye clutter, and in this particular example, also unsanitary.  Who would enjoy seed pods, leaves or stems dripping onto their plate or into their stemware?

Speaking of stemware, someone should have cleaned those glasses before photographing them.

@ECBG,   I love everything about this table including the wrinkled up runner.  It gives a warm peasant look to go with the flower arrangements and surroundings.
