The first thing I would change is the marble fireplace. If competes with everything in the room. Awful. And it does t look like real marble even though I am sure it is. I like the rest of the room.

I don't like the patterns of the chairs, or the couch. I would have different lamps and window treatments as well....Oh and a different coffee table..I do like the layout of the room......

The furniture looks very comfortable although I dislike the fabric print on the sofa.  What bothers me most about this room are those two dirty looking lamp shades.  My eye wants them lighter or darker, black would look better.

 

I shouldn't say they look dirty.  Dingy.  Dull.
